On 24 September 2024, our colleague Christopher Wünning took part in the Heavy Duty Congress 2024 in Duisburg, which was organized and hosted by the Center for Fuel Cell Technology (ZBT). As part of the event, Wünning presented the BioH2Ref project, which deals with the decentralized production of hydrogen from residual materials.
The key developments in the field of mobility with hydrogen were also presented at this year’s congress. Exciting presentations were given, focusing on the topics of hydrogen storage, logistics and the use of hydrogen in the heavy-duty sector. In particular, the use in heavy-duty transportation, including trucks, construction and agricultural machinery, was discussed. Christopher Wünning gave a presentation on his project, which met with great interest and positive feedback.
Between presentations, a lunch break and a coffee break offered the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with other participants. Conversations also took place outside at the various information stands, where Wünning was in charge of a stand as well. This made it possible to make further valuable contacts and provide information about the BioH2Ref project.
In addition to the specialist event, a guided tour of the ZBT was also offered. The congress ended with a convivial get-together, where participants were able to continue discussions and make new connections in a relaxed atmosphere.
We would like to thank the ZPT for the successful organization and the opportunity to present our project. We look forward to incorporating the impressions gained into our project and further expanding our collaboration with the participants.
