Resource efficient and highly productive manufacturing of carbon fibre for a wide range of application
The project is aimed at a systematic further development of the production process for carbon fibers based on polyacrylonitrile precursor fibers. The aim is to create the technical conditions to open up new applications and markets for carbon fibers and the composites made from them. The aim is to develop broad, quantitatively large applications outside aircraft construction with medium to high performance requirements for the mechanical strength of C‑fibers.
The project was funded within the framework of the NRW Ziel 2 Programme (EFRE) by the European Union and the State of NRW.
